Violet Festival is held during the second weekend in June. Highlights of the festival feature continuous musical entertainment on the stage and in the gazebo. An art exhibit, flower show, arts and craft show, 5K Run, Parade, Fireworks, Eastern Regional Draft Horse Association Fun Day with museum buggies and carriages. New four wheeler and snowmobile show with antique snowmobiles. Violet Festival Poetry Contest and a Violet Festival Idol contest. House judging prior to the festival. A special children corner with a puppet theater, children participation band and a very special invitation to the children to learn clogging, playing and taught by The Rock Candy Duo, with our well remembered Sunny land picker Slim Harrison. A quilt show and village wide garage sales. |
