What We Believe
We embrace those biblical truths that were crystallized during
the Reformation of the 16th Century and are contained in the 1689 London Baptist
Confession of Faith. Among these important doctrines are:
Scripture Alone - The Bible, both
the Old and New Testaments, is the only sufficient and infallible rule of all
saving knowledge, faith and obedience. It's authority stands not on the
testimony of men or of churches, but upon the fact that it is the Word of God
Himself.
Christ Alone - There
is only one Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. By His
death, burial and resurrection, He alone satisfied Divine Justice and is the
only sufficient atonement for sin. No man can come to the Father, but by
Him.
Grace Alone - Salvation is
entirely the gracious work of God. He is under no obligation to anyone,
yet of His own good pleasure He has freely saved men from their sin.
Faith Alone - Man
cannot avail himself of this salvation in any other way than through faith.
It is not earned by working; it is embraced by believing.
All To The Glory of God Alone
- All this is to the end that God alone will be glorified before all
His creation. No one and no thing will receive credit for man's salvation,
but God alone.
