It is vital to have adequate personnel to service the fire emergency needs of our village.  Our citizens count on the few hours per week that our men and women give to insure their safety.  If you're interested in giving back to the community and having some fun in the process, contact us .  We look forward to you joining our team of dedicated volunteers. Qualifications to Join New members must reside within the geographic boundaries of the village of Dolgeville or no more than one mile from the village for at least three months. Members transferring from other fire departments in the state of New York are exempt from the three month residency requirement if they have a letter from their previous department stating they were in good standing upon departure. Responsibilities of Members To perform the duties of a firefighter at an emergency to the best of their ability. Maintain the required hours of training that is required by the department by-laws, state laws, regulations, standards, or operating instructions that applies to the fire service. To attend schools of instruction to achieve the highest standards possible.
